Idle Chatter: China vs. 'NYT,' Mika vs. Joe, more

-After blocking its citizens from accessing the website of The New York Times for three days, the Chinese government has relented and restored access. [NYT]

-Conservative radio hosts are salivating over the prospect of having a Democratic president to attack for the next four years. Also, it turns out Fred Thompson, not Rudy Giuliani, will be taking over Bill O'Reilly's soon-to-be-vacated slot on Westwood One. [NYT]

-Speaking of talk radio, Mike Brzezinski says she and Joe Scarborough decided to do a radio version of Morning Joe because their arguments usually continue for several hours after their MSNBC show wraps anyway. [WaPo]

-Warner Music is removing its artists' content from YouTube, saying its licensing deal with the video-sharing site isn't generating enough revenue to be worthwhile. [WSJ]

-Wenner Media is shelving plans for a fashion-focused spinoff of Us Weekly. [Mediaweek]. □
