Idle Chatter: Ted's Sales; Angelina's Leverage

-Ted Turner's autobiography will debut at No. 8 on the New York Times bestseller list. [NYP]

-The CW Network is canceling a deal under which it outsourced its Sunday night programming to a third party, Media Rights Capital. [NYT]

-Did People magazine agree to some distinctly un-journalistic conditions in order to secure the first photos of Angelina Jolie's twin newborns? The Times says yes; People denies it. [NYT]

-Two other celebrity magazines, In Touch and Life & Style, are chopping their circulation guarantees in response to slumping sales. [WSJ]

-Online ad spending continued to grow at a double-digit rate through the third quarter. Anyone think that'll last through the fourth? [Mediaweek]. □
