Hume to Retire Before He Wears Out His Metaphor
"I think the worst thing you can do is hang on when you've lost your fastball." -Fox News's Brit Hume, explaining why he's retiring from the anchor desk, Los Angeles Times, Oct. 28, 2008
"The worst thing that can happen is when you've lost your fastball." -Brit Hume, Marketwatch, Oct. 20, 2008
"I think the worst thing you can do is hang on, and be hanging on when you've lost your fastball." -Brit Hume, New York Daily News, Oct. 16, 2008
"I think the worst thing you can do is ...be kind of hanging on when you've lost your fastball and you're not any good anymore."
-Brit Hume, Broadcasting & Cable, Oct. 15, 2008
