Bloomberg Hires Lack, Former NBC Chief

Bloomberg has made another high-profile hire that will further shift the company's power base away from editor in chief Matt Winkler, bringing in in former NBC president Andrew Lack to head up its recently-formed multimedia group. Lack, like Winkler and chief content officer Norm Pearlstine -- another relatively new addition -- will report to Bloomberg president Dan Doctoroff.

Lack's most recent job was as chairman of Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Here's what Winkler had to say about the hire in a press release: "I admire Andy's passion for news and for story telling. Together, we shall energize Bloomberg's 2,300 editorial employees." Is it just me, or can you actually hear the bow tie?
