NYT Co. Poaches Marc Ecko Exec as CIO
It's a busy Day of Atonement over at The New York Times Co. The publisher just announced the hiring of Joseph Seibert as chief information officer. Seibert comes to the Times Co. from Marc Ecko Enterprises, the urban apparel company. He has previous media experience, however, having spent nearly a decade with Viacom and CBS.
The Times Co.'s current CIO, David A. Thurm, is moving over to become senior vice president for operations at The New York Times, overseeing outside printing, New York production and building operators, as well as real estate transactions across the company. Meanwhile, Roland A. Caputo, the paper's chief financial officer, was promoted from vice president to senior vice president; he's adding responsibility for the systems department to his portfolio.
The Times Co. is scheduled to announce third-quarter earnings in two weeks.
