Spurned by 'WSJ,' Breakingviews Lands in 'Times'

The Wall Street Journal's loss is The New York Times's gain. The Times just announced that it will begin carrying a daily opinion column produced by Breakingviews.com. The column, which will commence on Monday, will also appear in all editions of the International Herald-Tribune.

Until June, Breakingviews had an exclusive deal of long standing with the Journal, which owned a small stake in the web company. But Rupert Murdoch ended that arrangement, reportedly preferring to replace the Breakingviews column with original commentary produced in-house. □
