Idle Chatter: NBC Rings in Biggest Win Ever

-Powered by the Olympics, NBC achieved the biggest margin of victory in the ratings last week of any network in the 21-year history of the current ratings system. [Variety]

-The New York Daily News is looking for 25 staffers to take buyouts. "You call that a bloodletting?" scoffs Sam Zell. [NYP]

-Rupert Murdoch paid himself $27.1 million last year, all told. Roger Ailes got $19.9 million, including a nice little bonus of $4.5 million in stock for launching Fox Business. [WSJ]
