"Here's my point. It's not like Zell and his crew have carefully studied the old journalism model and are reinventing a new one. They are not intelligently discarding moss-covered traditions that make no sense.

"Instead, they are like hung-over session musicians faking their way through a set. They are ignorantly plunging through the same, tired ideas that have been tried and discarded before. They are not deliberately ignoring history. They are simply ignorant."
