-The Wall Street Journal just keeps drawing more visitors to its website despite that pesky pay wall. [Mediaweek]

-Rental cars are now officially an advertising medium thanks to Hertz. [NYP]

-At a lot of companies, employees are rewarded for failure. But only at Gawker Media are they punished for success. [Radar]

-In a lot of markets, falling demand results in lower prices. But in the newspaper industry, falling demand for newsprint brings higher prices. Go figure. [Bloomberg]. □
