Solid Traffic for New 'SI' Archive Site
It's amazing what you can do with those old back issues you have lying around. Sports Illustrated put them to use starting in March in its new online archive, SI Vault, and it's off to a strong start. Since its launch, Vault has hosted 4.34 million unique viewers and amassed more than 86 million page views, according to Time Inc.'s internal measurement service. Per month, it has averaged roughly 1.86 million unique visitors and 32 million page views, compared with 19 million uniques and 462 million PVs for SI.com overall (including Vault's contribution).
The site's stickiness has been especially impressive: Visitors spend an average of 7.13 minutes on Vault, and view an average of 20 pages while they're there. "It's done exceedingly well for us," says a spokesman.
