MSM and Blogosphere Kiss, Make Up
At last night's National Magazine Awards, sports writer Buzz Bissinger, who was nominated for a story he wrote for Vanity Fair about the racehorse Barbaro, acknowledged going overboard when he vomited pent-up rage all over Deadspin editor Will Leitch on Costas Now the other day.
"I don't take back a word of what I said, but I do regret the personal attack on him," Bissinger told the Observer. "It was over the top. We've had a private communication that we've agreed to keep private. Not only was it wrong and disrespectful of him, it made me look silly and really subsumed the very valid points. Too much got lost in my anger."
