-Mort Zuckerman thinks he can get Newsday on the cheap -- or, at any rate, without topping Rupert Murdoch's $580 million bid -- because a sale to him would have fewer regulatory hurdles. [NYT]

-That naughty Annie Leibovitz got 15-year-old Miley "Hannah Montanah" Cyrus to pose "topless" (meaning wearing a bedsheet rather than a shirt) for Vanity Fair, and we, as a nation, are scandalized. [AP]

-The Takeaway, WNYC's new morning show, debuted today. Will it put the hurt on Soterios Johnson & Co.? [WSJ]
