-Speaking of the Journal, was its report that Katie Couric may leave CBS after the election an instance of "fake news"? [NYO]

-Speaking of fake news, New York Post editor Col Allan sent his newsroom into a panic with a bogus tip that famous hostess Elaine Kaufman had died. [Daily Intel]

-Speaking of the Post, its parent company, News Corp., has eliminated a "poison pill" provision in its corporate charter meant to prevent a takeover. [CNN Money]

-Speaking of News Corp....uh, there's actually no segue here. John McCain's wife ripped off a bunch of recipes from the Food Network's website and tried to pass them off as "family" recipes. [Huffpo]. □
