Author's Marital Tie Left Out of 'Time' Book Plug

That's quite a nice plug for Charla Krupp's new book, How Not to Look Old, on page 55 of the new Time. They even managed to work the book's title into the headline: "How Not to Look Old on the Job."

What didn't make it in, however, is this disclosure: Krupp is married to a Time senior editor, Richard Zoglin. Though that fact was noted in the intro to last month's Q&A with Krupp (who used to work at In Style, another Time Inc. magazine), it's absent here.

"I've gotta say, it doesn't feel like a big deal to me," says managing editor Richard Stengel. "She's simply quoted in the story -- it's not a review of the book or a recommendation from the magazine. Plus, Charla has written a number of bylined pieces for us over the years, so she's someone we already regard as an authority."

Well, and it's not as if she needed the boost; Krupp is currently at No. 7 on the New York Times hardcover advice best-sellers list.
