Bill O'Reilly So Sorry He Quoted Clarence Thomas

Bill O'Reilly clearly isn't all that sorry he used the term "lynching party" in a discussion of Michelle Obama, and maybe he shouldn't be, considering it was just a poor choice of words for a fair-minded sentiment. But sometimes, you just need the whole brouhaha to go away.

That, of course, is when you issue a conditional, mealy-mouthed apology blaming the whole thing on Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who, as we all know, introduced the word "lynching" into the American lexicon, and who is allowed to use it because he is black.
