MSNBC-er Suspended Over 'Pimped Out' Crack

MSNBC is laying down the law: You can't say outrageous things about the Clintons on the air and expect to get away with it. (Well, not unless your name's Chris Matthews, anyway.)

The cable network has suspended correspondent David Shuster for suggesting that Chelsea Clinton is being "pimped out" in the service of her mother's presidential campaign. After learning of Shuster's remark, a Clinton spokesman hinted that the candidate might drop out of an upcoming debate on MSNBC in protest.

Shuster, who was substituting as a guest host in place of Tucker Carlson, initially refused to apologize after the Clinton campaign protested, but soon changed his stance, offering an apology on the air this morning and promising another one tonight.
