Duly Quoted: Edwards Aide on Anti-Edwards Bias

"If they had treated us like we were a credible contender all along I'm pretty confident we would have won Iowa."

-Jonathan Prince, former deputy campaign manager for John Edwards, complaining to The New York Times about the news media's alleged preference for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

The Times goes on to note that Mike Huckabee, despite running third in the Republican race, managed to stay in the mix and generate headlines largely by making himself available to cable news producers. Perhaps Edwards could have done the same -- if he hadn't been so busy boycotting the biggest all-news network ...
