Two Questions for Judith Regan
Now that Judith Regan has gone and made nice with News Corp., here are a couple of things I'd like to know:
1)What is she going to do with the money? Regan reportedly turned down an initial settlement offer of $6.5 million, so presumably the amount she agreed to is somewhere north of that.
On her Sirius show in November, Regan said that whatever she won in the suit would go to charity. (At least, I'm pretty sure that's what she said -- Sirius doesn't release transcripts, and reps for both Regan and Sirius didn't respond to my repeated attempts to confirm it.) Does that also go for settlement money? Not that it's any of our business, but it'd be nice to know if that was a real pledge or just another instance of Regan voicing whatever nuttiness came into her head.
2)When are we going to find out what she knows about Rudy Giuliani -- the information that was supposedly so damaging, Rupert Murdoch was willing to sacrifice one of his most valuable underlings to squelch it?
Since it looks like Giuliani no longer has a serious shot at the Republican nomination, there's no real danger that Regan's silence will cause a man she loathes to win the White House. But, again, it would be nice to know what kind of shady business the former mayor of New York has been involved with (the part that we don't know about already, that is).
I've emailed Regan's spokesman to ask about both of these matters; I'll update if I hear back.
