Chris Matthews, Woman-Hater? Group Says Yes
Who says Media Matters only targets Republicans? The left-wing pressure group has fixed its crosshairs on Chris Matthews, the former Democratic staffer and current lead talking head on liberal-except-when-it's-not cable network MSNBC.
David Brock, the group's founder, says there's ample proof that Matthews is a misogynist, including his recent riff crediting Bill Clinton's philandering for his wife's political career.
While it's hard to ignore the evidence, I'm not sure that Matthews's misogyny is really out of proportion to his other bad qualities: his general obnoxiousness, lack of a filter, facile reasoning, love of conventional wisdom, etc. Read Brock's piece and decide for yourself.
