The Takeaway: Late Night and the Strike

New York Times: As you've no doubt heard by now, Robin Williams, not Donald Trump, will be the first guest on the WGA-blessed Late Show in its return from a two-month hiatus tonight. Trump was bumped to Friday.

Media Mob: WGA East president Michael Winship says his members will picket those late-night shows that are returning without their writers -- even though the hosts of those shows all took measures to support their staffs during the layoff.

Deadline Hollywood Daily: Picketers will concentrate their firepower at first on The Tonight Show -- that is, if they can get past Mike Huckabee's Secret Service cordon. Huckabee is Jay Leno's first guest.

New York Post: Guild sympathizers are circulating a petition urging Comedy Central to let Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert honor their consciences, and the strike, rather than force them back on the air sans writers. □
