Post-Christmas Catch-Up
For those of you actually working today, a quick recap of some news stories from the long weekend:
-The Hollywood Reporter predicts that CBS will replace Katie Couric as anchor of Evening News soon after the presidential election. [Via TVNewser]
-Newsweek says Judith Regan has some kind of tape recording that she believes will help her case against News Corp. Details are beyond vague. [Via Media Mob]
-The Wall Street Journal reported, and The New York Times re-reported, that ESPN is paying a lot of money to lure print journalists away. Slate's Jack Shafer says the Journal and the Times are only about 15 years late in getting to the story.
-Chuck Norris is suing the publisher of a book that plays his tough-guy image for laughs. Only Mike Huckabee's allowed to to that.
-Apparently Star magazine is repurposed as an insert in the San Antonio Express-News. Who knew? [Via Romenesko] ...
