Murdoch Keeps It Secular in Holiday Note

There's a "War on Christmas" out there, according to Bill O'Reilly and the rest of the Fox News talkers, but no one's told Fox owner Rupert Murdoch. The News Corp. chairman carefully avoided the C-word in his annual holiday message to employees.

Dear Colleagues,

This has been a remarkable year for our Company and I am grateful for the contribution each of you has made to our success.

Every day, across the globe, we entertained, informed and inspired almost a billion people. Thanks to your creativity and commitment, we connected with our readers, viewers and users in countless meaningful ways. Your spirit and imagination have made a real difference in their lives.

Thank you for taking risks, seizing opportunities, and inspiring such positive change this year. I am confident that we will bring the same innovative spirit to the opportunities that await us next year.

May this holiday season and the days that follow bring you and yours great joy.

Sincerely,

Rupert Murdoch

Joseph Stalin, Mao and Fidel salute you, Mr. Murdoch. □
