The Takeaway: Writers Strike, Day 26

AP: Talks between the Writers Guild of American and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers will go on hold until Tuesday while the writers consider a new offer. AMPTP says the offer amounts to a $130 million concession and will include payment for some uses of writers' work on the internet.

WGA.org: But you know what the writers would really like? More. They're calling the offer "a massive rollback," and cautioning the world not to buy the producers' spin.

BusinessWire: A new study from UCLA's Anderson School of Management suggests the impact of the strike on the local economy will be a lot smaller than previously suggested. How small? Think one-tenth of 1 percent of the region's economic activity.

Deadline Hollywood Daily: He may be Irish, but Conan O'Brien is still a mensch. He's paying his show's production staff out of his own pocket.

Hollywood Reporter: With no money coming in, talent agencies are canceling their holiday parties. Oh, the humanity.
