Writers Strike Already Over?

Whoah! Nikki "Scoops are better than sex" Finke has what will be a major one if it holds up: She says "there appears to be a deal seemingly in place" between the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. (Not to hedge or anything.)

Citing a source who "has been very accurate in the past," Finke says the agreement was brokered by Hollywood agents in the weeks since screenwriters began their work stoppage on Nov. 5.

"The negotiations starting today will have a news blackout, so don't expect any significant leaks," she writes. "But consider the real possibility there's been a breakthrough."
