Hillary Sneaks in CBS Chat Before Strike

Hillary Clinton won't cross a picket line, but a threatened picket line? That's no problem.

A CBS News spokeswoman confirms a report by Matt Drudge that Katie Couric will interview the New York senator on CBS Evening News. The interview, part of a series meant to include all the major presidential candidates, is being taped today; an air date has not yet been scheduled. [Update: Okay, that was a pretty fast turnaround.]

This although Clinton said last week that she would not participate in the planned Dec. 10 debate of Democratic candidates if WGA East, which represents nearly 300 CBS News employees, and which has already voted to authorize a strike, goes ahead with a work stoppage. Barack Obama, John Edwards and Bill Richardson all made similar promises.
