'Daily,' 'Colbert' Replace Topicality with Hotties
Ratings for The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are way down since the writers strike made it impossible to produce new shows. What's Comedy Central's answer? Ironic T&A.
The network has been running wink-nudge promos declaring "every night is ladies' night," with a straight lineup of "Jon and Steven's most unforgettable female guests" -- in repeats, of course. This week's Daily Show guests include Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry, Claire Danes and Sienna Miller. Colbert's cheesecake buffet, meanwhile, include Paulina Porizkova, Jane Fonda and noted cougar Katie Couric.
