Arianna Puts Pollsters on Notice
Pollsters poll the populace, but who polices the pollsters? Why, Arianna Huffington, of course. OffTheBus, the Huffington Post's collaborative campaign coverage venture, is undertaking a new project to monitor "the pervasiveness and impact of polls across the country."
What it boils down to, essentially, is asking people who've been polled to talk about their experiences, and especially whether they felt they were the victims of "push-polling" -- questions designed to shape the respondent's view of a candidate. What makes it worth watching is the impressive range of media partners, including Politico, Talking Points Memo, Instapundit, Pajamas Media, Mother Jones and The Nation.
