Knopf Reels in Tony Blair's Memoir

This doesn't exactly rate as an "I told you so," but Tony Blair has made a deal to write his memoirs for Random House. They'll be published here under the Knopf imprint, and in the U.K. under the Hutchinson imprint. Lawyer-to-the-powerful Robert Barnett brokered the deal; no publication date has been set.

Remember when I told you back in August that Knopf chairman Sonny Mehta was putting the full-court press on Blair, ignoring rumors that the ex-Prime Minister had promised the book to HarperCollins? Oh, you don't? Okay.
