Attention to 'Details'? Not So Much

Perhaps the only thing worse than having your name on a cheesy celebrity profile is not having your name on a cheesy celebrity profile.

That's what happened to writer Bart Blasengame, who penned the cover story on Ben Affleck in the new issue of Details. Though Blasengame's name appears in the table of contents, it was accidentally left off the story itself. So was the name of the photographer, noted lensman Steven Klein.

Editor in chief Dan Peres says the omission was the result of "human error." Blasengame, who used to be on staff at Details but now freelances, says he wasn't disappointed when he saw the story: "I received a very nice phone call apology a few weeks back and was told this was going to be the case, so I knew it was coming. They said it was some sort of production snafu."

In other words, any speculation that the writer simply didn't want his name on a story that contains the phrase "sprayed diarrhea all over his Brentwood home" is unequivocally false.
