Nerd Fight! Joel Stein Zings Michael Hirschorn

VH1 programming guru Michael Hirschorn took a pickax to quirk in a recent issue of The Atlantic, but he clearly considers it permissible in his cyber-life.

Complaining about the overabundance of social-networking "friends" in the new issue of Time, Joel Stein (no stranger to quirk himself) notes that Hirschorn recently announced, via a Facebook status update, that he "is not making decisions; he's making surprises." (Stein's essay isn't online yet, but I'll link it when it is.)

That clearly meets Hirschorn's stated criteria for quirk, which include "narrative randomness" and "mannered ingenuousness." So what kind of Facebook status loser does that make him?
