Fox Business Fishes in CNBC Talent Pool
What Rupert Murdoch wants, Rupert Murdoch gets -- and non-compete agreements be damned.
Earlier today, recent CNBC refugee Liz Claman was spotted in the offices of the Fox Business Network, lending weight to widespread rumors that she'll be part of the nascent network when it hits the airwaves (or the cable wires) October 15. That, as it happens, is the day Claman's non-compete with her old employer expires. A Fox Business spokesperson had no comment on the sighting.
(Irony alert: Check out this February profile of Claman, which declared her "a big asset [for CNBC] as competition from Fox looms."]
While getting caught cheating on your contract is a faux pas, it's not as bad as what another ex-CNBC talent did: Trying to forward an email to FBN executive Kevin Magee, Eric Bolling accidentally sent it to CNBC spokesman Kevin Goldman, reports The New York Observer. Bolling is also expected to land at Fox sooner than later.
