Laura "JT LeRoy" Albert, Still Lying

I admit it: I have it in for Laura Albert.
I always thought her creation, "JT LeRoy," was a lousy writer who would never get the kind of book deals and bylines "he" got without "his" backstory of abuse, prostitution, cross-dressing, etc.
Now, even though she's been exposed and successfully sued for fraud, Albert is still spouting self-justifications, and she's still annoying me. "I'm totally aware it sounds wacky, but I never really thought of it in terms of right or wrong, truth or lie," she claims in the Times. It was more like two computer programs running in my head."
Poor Laura has been reduced to poverty, bankrupt and "crippled by her debts" and legal bills, reports the Times. She's so destitute, she nearly wept when Deadwood creator David Milch gave her a $500 handout.
Oh, and on the way to meet Milch, she fielded a call on her cell phone from "the Chinese woman who cooks and cleans her home."
