More Warholian Paraphernalia

The month of March marks New York's turn to play host to the peripatetic art world — the Whitney Biennial opens on the 6th, the 10th edition of The Armory Show on the 27th — and Bond No. 9, the perfumery that concocts scents in homage of distinct Big Apple milieus (Chinatown and Coney Island among them, honest), is taking the opportunity to launch the second of its Andy Warhol-inspired bouquets. The "ambi-sexual" (read: unisex) eau de parfum, called Andy Warhol Union Square — USQ was home to Warhol's famous (or infamous) Factory — is a blend of lily of the valley, blue freesia, golden amber, animal musk (seemingly the only "note" that actually evokes the urban junction of Broadway and Park Avenue South), greenery, and white birch. It's packaged in a bottle emblazoned with images of the artist's brightly colored, silk-screened flowers. In true art world fashion, Bond No. 9 will be offering a "portfolio" of ten bottles, each bearing a different image from Warhol's series of pop flora (but containing the same scent), for $1500.
