Neal Meltzer and Kim Heirston on the Art World in 2007
To wrap up Figure Painting's review of 2007, Manhattan-based art advisers Neal Meltzer and Kim Heirston give us their favorite museum exhibitions of the year. Are they worth a gold star? Meltzer's choice has been packed up, so you'll have to take his word for it. But Heirston's picks are still on view at museums in New York.
Neal Meltzer
Robert Gober, Schaulager, Basel
Kim Heirston
Lawrence Weiner, AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York & Martin Puryear, Museum of Modern Art, New York
"They are the perfect antidote to the recent spate of market-driven museum exhibitions."
