Sotheby's stock plunged more than 30 percent today after the auction house's sale of impressionist and modern art last night fell short of expectations.

The Louis Vuitton boutique in Takashi Murakami's show at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles gets a feature in the New York Times Thursday Styles section. It seems one of Vuitton's most recent artist-collaborators, Richard Prince, jumped on board the luxury handbag train just a bit too late for the wares to be included in his own retrospective.

Two new top brass at the Pompidou Center in Paris have plans to breathe new life into the museum. The most interesting item on the agenda: a roving petite Pompidou that would travel to "culturally deprived rural and suburban areas of France."
