Is Ruprecht Running?

Bloomberg's Linda Sandler reports that William Ruprecht, CEO of Sotheby's, has sold 210,000 shares since January 1st, cutting his actionable holdings in the auction house by 45 percent.

It may be a sign that the art market's atmospheric rise is about to be stopped in its tracks, one analyst tells Sandler. Meanwhile, Ruprecht says he's just trying to diversify his portfolio.

But if he was really confident that the art market was going to stay strong, would he sell that much equity?
