Shopping From Your Cell Phone

Fashion Inc thought we'd heard it all technologically, in relationship to shopping online.

But now this: TheFind.com, the Silicon Valley-based shopping search engine with 5 million hits a month is working on an Apple IPhone application that, when installed in your phone, can detect where you are, and tell you the ten nearest stores to where you're standing. (You may want to sit down.) It will also give you a visual map to those stores, for when you are travellling and get the shopping urge. You can then use TheFind.com to search for any product--and click on the stores to see if they have it, or get their address and phone number. One more click, and you can call them directly.

The application should be ready this August. So be prepared for more shopping temptation than ever. Hmmmm . . . less money, more shopping: interesting equation.

Meanwhile, TheFind.com has grown two hundred percent since January 08, and the Apple IPhone Application should probably increase that.
