Morning Hemlines: Revlon, Jil Sander, Liz Claiborne, Jude Law, Stanley Korshak

Revlon's Back to Black: Revlon's earnings for the second quarter totaled $19.9 million, reversing losses incurred a year ago. C.E.O. David Kennedy credits it to new products, brand communication and advertising. (WWD)

Jostling for Jil: No sooner was it released that Jil Sander is for sale by its owner Change Capital Partners, which purchased it from Prada in 2006, than an offer from unnamed "Chinese investors" has appeared. (WWD)

Isaac Remakes Liz's Look: Newly installed Liz Claiborne designer Isaac Mizrahi's designs for his spring 2009 debut will be revealed in the next month. But in the meantime, the brand has released one visual: a new label, with the brand's famous font tweaked. (WWD)

Men Who Wear Glasses: There's so much attention paid to the trends in women's sunglasses--but what about men's? Once Carla Bruni Sarkozy got rid of her husband's oversized sunglasses, replacing them with more subtle aviators--the President of France became a newly minted member of the male style council. According to the British department store chain John Lewis, sales of men's sunglasses are up 39 percent every year. Apparently, men are purchasing more of every kind of accessory, even bags. (FT)

Jude's Girls are Fashion Forward: We're always reading about how trendsetting an It Girl Jude Law's ex Sienna Miller is. Even, it seems, with her top off. Well, Law's ex wife, Sadie Frost, is no slouch in the fashion department, either. With pal Jemima French, Frost launched the brand Frostfrench a few years ago - then lost control of it to new investors in 2006. Now the stylish pair are relaunching the brand in their own innovative way. (Vogue UK)

Stanley Korshak in Cyberspace: Dallas's most high-fashion emporium, Stanley Korshak, will begin selling its luxury merchandise online this October, the company has announced. The site will feature handbags, cosmetics and jewelry, which do not entail sizing - but clothing could come next. (WWD)
