Calvin Klein Comes Home
For ten years, Calvin Klein has shown men's wear collections in Milan. Now, according to breaking news in WWD, the company has decided to stage its fall 2009 Men's Collection during New York fashion week next February - traditionally, women's fashion week. But this is not the first time a designer has shown men's collections at the same time as women's - and it usually means they get a much larger audience.
The show will take place at CKI's headquarters at 205 West 39th Street, exactly where the women's shows are staged. It will be the first time a full men's runway show has been staged here.
But Calvin Klein is not abandoning Milan altogether. The company will have market appointments in Milan during men's fashion week in the Italian fashion capital.
