The New Investor Chic

Watch out, Monsieur.

The wardrobes of CEO's, Private Investors, and Hedge Fund Managers are under as much scrutiny these days as their spreadsheets - and their love lives. In today's (7/28) New York Times' Business section, the lead story is on the media investor named Vivi Nevo. Nevo, 43, is referred to by the NY Times as "a stealth media powerhouse" - he's said to be the largest individual shareholder of Time Warner and was once the largest private investor in Goldman Sachs. He is also engaged to China's most famous actress, Zhang Ziyi, who starred in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" - and who is also a well-known fashionista, often dressed for the red carpet in Armani Prive'. Well, Mr. Nevo is no fashion slouch himself. The Times refers to his "workaday uniform of snug black Christian Dior suits" - which means Mr. Nevo is no slouch in the workout arena, either, as Dior Homme suits by designer Hedi Slimane are known to be the slimmest cuts in all of menswear. And they come with the highest price tags.

Does this up the ante of financial man's wardrobe?
