Paris Preview

Next Wednesday I will be in Paris for the shows. I've already got two casual meetings set up -- one with Asim Abdullah, the owner of Ungaro and the other with Sidney Toledano, the head of fashion and luxury at LVMH. Neither are official Q&As but both are nice guys, so I'm sure they'd be happy to answer your questions.

Show-wise, I'm looking forward to seeing what the new designers at Ungaro and Valentino have to offer. I'm also keen to see Alexander McQueen as this is the season he has finally broken even, and Lanvin, Nina Ricci are always must-sees.

Monday I'll be back with some non-fashion show things I learned while in Milan. Like, guess what is happening to all the gambling casinos in Moscow? They're becoming retail stores!

Happy weekend.
