Fashion Breakfast: Lacroix sale?, de la Falaise on HSN, Zoe on Halston, GIII buys a Marc

Surprise, surprise, the new owners of Christian Lacroix are also having a hard time making the brand work. They're now looking for investors. No reasonable offers refused. (WWD)

Loulou de la Falaise, former muse to Yves Saint Laurent and currently designer is to do a collection for the Home Shopping Network. And would make me tune in, except that it will be featured Feb. 23-29 and I will be in Paris. But my birthday is the 27th, so if any of you out there don't know what to get me ... Now you know. G-III Apparel Group. has acquired Andrew Marc, the outerwear and handbag manufacturer, from Gordon Brothers Group, for some $42 million. G-III has licenses for Calvin Klein, Sean John, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess, Jones New York and Nine West, among others. (WWD)

The departure of Lars Nilsson before his first show at Gianfranco Ferre has even his friends wondering if he might be more difficult than he seems. But sources tell WWD that it was the design teams close to Ferre who made it hard for the new designer.

Stylist Rachel Zoe says she didn't make it to the Halston show, although she is a shareholder and on the advisory board, because "this is Marco's (Zanini, the designer) ride...I'm just taking a backseat." Somehow, we just don't think so. (Vogue.com)
