Tesco, the U.K. grocery chain which is expanding into the U.S. has announced it will launch department stores to compete with Marks & Spencer and Debenhams. It is opening in Buckinghamshire and will sell clothes, toys and electronics. (Retail Week)

Vivienne Westwood has designed a line of pumps for Brazilian shoe brand, Melissa, part of manufacturer Grendene. The shoes are 100 percent recyclable.(Stylefile)

Royal girlfriend Kate Middleton is said to be going to work for photographer Mario Testino. (FWD)

Isaac Mizrahi has announced that in addition to designing the women's collection for Liz Claiborne, he will be designing furs for Goodman Couture. (WWD)

In an unexpected move, the President of J.Crew, Jeffrey Pfeifl has announced he will step down on Feb. 1. He had worked with C.E.O. Mickey Drexler for 15 years turning around various companies. (WWD)

The first major Diane Von Furstenburg ads will launch in May magazines. French artist French artist Francois-Marie Banier took the photos of model Natalia Vodianova and later added splashes of color and handwriting. No stylist or hair and make-up people were on the shoot. (WWD)
