Paris Fashion Week: Jade Jagger

I just saw the new Jezebel collection by Jade Jagger. I was pleasantly surprised, mostly by the price points. Many of the themes in the collection -- skulls, wings, etc. -- were used in her designs for Garrad. But at Garrard they were in precious metals and cost tens of thousands of pounds. At Jezebel they'll start at £ 20 and go up to £ 2,000 -- much more reasonable for what I suspect is her customer -- groovy kids who admire her persona as much as her designs.

Her collection for Garrard will be in jade. It's a clever idea and a nice way to keep her involved, but she's never worked in the material before. From what I've been told, you pretty much have to go to China to find true craftsmen. There is no launch date for the Garrard collection, so I guess she has plenty of time to make that fact-finding trip.
