Paris Fashion Week: Merci, Karl -- the book

Tout le Parisians are talking about the new Karl Lagerfeld biography, Merci, Karl. Haven't heard of it? That's probably because he hasn't sued the author, his former assistant Arnaud Maillard. And also because, tragically, it is only in French. Karl sued Alicia Drake over her book about Karl and Yves Saint Laurent in Paris in the 1970s called Beautiful Fall because he didn't like the way his family was depicted. But he lost. And so he is not sueing Maillard, despite the fact I am told the book is much more revealing. Read French? Buy a copy and tell me what it says. I hear he is not so nice to his staff. Quelle surpise. □
