London Fashion Week is Over: A Cause To Celebrate
I haven't counted yet, but I'm pretty sure the London Fashion Week parties out numbered the London Fashion Week fashion shows. For health reasons, I only made two (and still ended up with a cold) -- Matthew Williamson's and Adidas/Stella McCartney's.
I was hoping Prince would make MW's bash, but if he did it was way after I went to sleep. Instead I met a lot of nice women from Harrods, Selfridges and Liberty and got to briefly chat with Imran from Business of Fashion and our host of sorts, Aslaug from TSM Capital. There was champagne and the ususal fabulousness, and it was in Bungalo 8, (just in case anyone in fashion hadn't been there yet).
Stella's was a different kind of fun. A massive miniature golf course was set up to showcase her new golf range for the company. There was a huge A D I D A S logo spelled out in flowers, a hole where you had to drive the ball through the cut-out letters of Stella's name as well as the usual, loop-da-loop, water features, windmill holes. Food came from a hot-dog stand, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the change of pace. (I told Stella they should leave it up so we could bring our kids back the next day. I've been planning a birthday party for my kids and it seemed I had hit on the perfect venue. But of course it was broken down that same night.) Oh and my new bf Princess Julia was on the decks.
Apparently the drinks were donated by Snow Leopard, which gives 15% of all profits to preserve the snow leopards in Asia, which almost makes up for the fact that the giant Styrofoam hand invite they delivered to each guest will out-live us all in a landfill somewhere.
