Ralph Lauren's 40th Anniversary Plans Take Shape

One of the highlights of the upcoming fashion week is the 40th Anniversary for Ralph Lauren. He's received permission from the city to have his fashion show and the black-tie dinner afterwards in Central Park. One of the added bonuses of the show followed by black-tie dinner format is that you get a chance to preview out all the great gowns (on the guests, not the models) at the show.

This is Ralph's second big bash this year. Earlier, he opened two stores in Moscow with a formal dinner at the Ambassador's residence and a bash at the downtown. Ralph doesn't do anything halfway. Although he is the first U.S. designer to capitalize on the wealth of the newly rich there by opening a stand-alone store there -- he decided to open two. One in the fabulous looking and fabulously empty Luxury Village in the suburbs.
