Halston: The PR Gets Going

With a new, famous owner (Harvey Weinstein), and new, famous advisors (Tamara Mellon and Rachel Zoe) and a new designer (Marco Zanini, formerly of Versace) in place it is time for the last piece of the Halston relaunch to begin. That's the PR. It is said that Weinstein's main contribution to the relaunch will be making a film on Halston. Today Style.com pays homage to the '70s icon and the September issue of Vanity Fair also includes a page of pix from Bob Colacello's book Out of Halston and his famous cohorts back in the glamour Studio 54 days. Had enough? That's a shame, because by the time the line actually launches you will be more sick of seeing Halston and his friends than you are of seeing the Democratic nominees for President. Which isn't a problem for Colacello who is proudly Republican.
