Is it Good-Bye Valentino Red If Proenza Schouler Have Anything To Say About It?

I had a chat with a lawyer specializing in luxury good deals the other day and he agreed that the one Proenza Schouler got from Valentino Fashion Group was a bad one. So bad that there's almost definitely some sort of hidden "sweetener" involved that we don't know about yet. As VFG will soon be looking for a replacement for Valentino himself, that seems the obvious treat. Alhough Stylescribble heard that Val would prefer Zac Posen -- and since Zac was the young designer front and center at Valentino's anniversary party in Rome, that might well be the case. Why would Val prefer Zac? Well, maybe because Zac isn't afraid of color and Val loves color. I love Proenza Schouler, but I think you can see in this walk-though of their mostly grey and black Spring collection on New York magazine why they would be to edgy for Val's colorful tastes.
