Will Donatella Spice Up The Spice Girls?

It was reported yesterday that Versace will outfit the Spice Girls for their next tour. But it was denied within moments by a Versace spokesman.

It seems that Donatella Versace, unlike Roberto Cavalli, knows that Posh can kill a brand. Still, in this incident, I don't think it's solely Posh's bad style karma. It's the frightening possibility of Posh's bad juju mixing with the other group members, one of which spent her short-lived career being called "Scary".

While dressing the group would be any designer's nightmare, as a stylist I think it'd be awfully interesting to blow the rumored £200,000 pound clothing budget on hot pants, latex knee high go-go boots, and of course, a some kind of bra top with a screen printing of the Union Jack.

Maybe Jean Paul Gaultier, whose ego is still suffering from the blow dealt by being fired from Madonna's tour would take the job.

Hey, it never hurts to ask.
